Chapter 7 – The Dark Emblem

Before departing to the world map or to somniel, do the exploration in the area to pick up items and adopt animals, you will also receive bond fragments if you speak with your allies before departing.
A short scene will be played before you proceed to your next destination.
Somniel, the Record Hall is now available to use, you can order meals and eat with your allies at the Cafe Terrace to earn support points. If the meal is prepared well, your allies will receive a stat boost in the next battle. The chef will pack the left over for you. Take this meal with you into the battle and use it as an item to recover HP.
The Tower of Trials will be open at the end of the southern part of somniel. All items you will use will be restored at the end of the trial. Your allies are also restored to their pre-trial states. You’ll get some experience and other rewards for battles you’ve cleared at the end of the trial. Changes to your
units are not permanent so feel free to hold nothing back.
Tempest Trial. In this trial, you will face several consecutive battles. Rewards will increase with difficulty level. Tempest Trials will only available once you clear Chapter Eleven.
Relay Trial. Seize a map with other players online in a relay-style cooperative mode. Tickets required to play.
Outrealm Trial. Battle online against other players armies on a selected or edited maps.
When you travel to the World Map, another special Paralogue Chapter The Mysterious Merchant is available, its a good chance to recruit another group member.
Note: If you purchased DLC/The Expansion pass, head to Lookout Ridge in Somniel Map. This will make you obtain the DLC Emblem Edelgard, this Emblem can switch with Claude and Dimitri during battle. Divine Paralogues will also be available which will be located on a separate division of the World Map. Right now The Ancestor is the available.

Your goal is to defeat Hortensia. You’ll lose the game if Alear is defeated.
You have nine allies with you in this battle and three new character will join you, Alcryst, Lapis and Citrinne, so you have a total of twelve units.


In this battle, Archers are mandatory because most of the enemies are fliers, place Etie and Alcryst on both side of the bridge to eliminate fliers enemy.
Be careful of attacking enemies who are placed on Protection Tiles, magic is a great weapon to attack, use Citrinne, Celine and Clanne to take them out.

 

Pay attention to other enemies, use lapis to attack, she can push back the enemies with a Smash Weapons/Iron Blade. Keep pushing through the enemies with your unit preference and clear out the enemies.
Hortensia is carrying a Dark Emblem, some enemies can also use Emblems in combat. These Dark Emblems cannot engage, but they can still use engage attack. A light indicates when opponents have engage attacks ready, watch out for it!
The battlefield is full of obstacles that will prevent you from passing through, so keep moving forward on both sides to proceed on the battlefield. When you get closer to the opponents location, try to take them out of the protection Tiles, but be careful of Hortensia and her followers, Rosado and Goldmary.


Use Emblem Marth’s Rapier, it is effective to take down Cavalry opponents, deal Elusian Armor enemy with magic by using, Citrinne, Celine or Clanne.
Try to clear out all enemies around Hortensia to avoid losing allies, but if you have a chance to take her down, you can win the game even though there are more active enemies, Hortensia has also a Revival Stone so you need to take her down twice. You will receive Master Seal if you win the game.
